Cut money to stop under age boozing
You wouldn’t believe it but the Tories and Liberal Democrats in Leeds have cut funding for the Proof of Age Partnership that helps to stop the sale of alcohol, fireworks and cigarettes to under age children. Every other council in West Yorkshire supports protecting young people from the dangers of alcohol abuse from illegal sales.
Extra cash for the rich: less for the inner-cities
The Tories and their Liberal Democrat chums have taken millions of pounds of your money away from poor inner-city communities in Leeds to give to people in wealthy towns and villages around the edges of the city. These cuts threaten the safety of families, children and older people all over Leeds.
Axed Middleton Park bonfire

Local councillors have had lots of complaints from local people worried that young people will organise their own dangerous unofficial bonfires.
